This is an absolutely brilliant series. If ever there was one game that someone could make a lot of people happy by writing, it would be Bard's Tale IV.

A fine classic game. With updated graphics, but a similar interface, this would certainly fill a void in modern gaming. Let the tale continue!

I'd love to see a Bard's tale IV, I played all 3 in my HS years, and now that I'm married and can't go outside anymore, like that entire summer I was grounded. I need somthing to do.

I first played the three Bard's Tale games as they came out for the Apple II. I spent so long playing these games, and I occasionally fire up my PC version to wax nostalgic. I would love, love, LOVE to see a BT-IV in whatever incarnation it needs to take to succeed in today's market. Sign me up!

I have spent countless of hours with the Bards Tale games, and it would be lovely to see a 4th coming. I don't want a big fancy game, I want a game with a great story and the same "feel" to it as I've had in the first 3. Today, I am still playing BT3 regularly eventhough I know everything about the game. It's simply just so relaxing and fun that I can't keep away from it.

The original Bard's Tale series broke new ground - and provided for me - in my youth - weeks and months of entertainment. The more recent variation, though, was not in the spirit of the original series. For developers: do a better job pls next time. I'm sure there's still an audience out there for the series - All the best guys.

I remember having all three Bard's Tale games for my Apple IIe and remember how fun they were. I definitely would like to see a sequel in the future. BTW: It'd also be cool if EA games could release the original trilogy for the Playstation 2. That would rule!

Long time ago when I was about 12 I had BT1 on my Amstrad CPC6128 - but just half of the game! The second diskette was missing so I never finished the game! Imagine how disappointed I was... Now I'm 29 years old and I recently discovered this site AND found out that there are BT2 and BT3!!! Imagine how happy I am!!! The game works great in a DosBox on my PocketPC so I can play anywhere I like. Aaaah life seems worth living again :)) BT4 certainly wouldn't hurt :))

I remember my older brothers enjoying playing bards tale till the wee hours of the night. Sneaking that thief 70 feet to backstab the boss... The game was so far ahead of it's time. I'd love another bards tale to come out, with similarities. It's not important to compete with other games for graphics, it's the gameplay and strategy that matter.

Just like the nostalgia that has propelled the Marvel comics icons into the foreground and begun very profitable and noteworthy film franchises, you have an opportunity to take advantage of a game that has deep roots in the geek community. The contexts of the original game play in an MMORPG and use of characters in the context of Skare Brae and the familiarly named cities of the three Bard's Tale games, would totally take off.In addition, with new tech, new interactive possibilities, and new paradigms, you are bound to take a tried and true theme and make a game with a higher rating than "fair" and hopefully a more meaningful pretext than "coin and cleavage."I'd buy and encourage my friends to buy a game themed to sequel the Bard's Tale III, and that means you have one individual who will encourage 4-6 others to join them in the new "Skare Brae"Eagerly awaiting visiting "Castle Candorr"-Jeremy Ciaramella

1.Look at all these. We want the Bard's Tale VI. It was the best series ever. Another one would resurect the greatness of the Bard's Tale and bring glory to it's creator. Think about that!

The success of Etrian Odyssey (and the fact that it has a forthcoming sequel) on the Nintendo DS proves that there is a market for low budget, old school rpgs, at least on that system. For my part, I would not only cheerfully pay $40.00 or more for a console or pc version of Bard's Tale IV (as long as it was faithful to the originals); I would also pay $40 for a remake (again, faithful to the original; Etrian Odyssey's faith to the spirit of the Wizardry & Bard's Tale series is exemplary here) of the original Bard's Tale for the Nintendo DS (new graphics would be nice, and using the second screen for mapping, as with Etrian Odyssey, would be a great choice) or Sony PSP.The ongoing success of Atlus Games, which focuses on niche rpgs and srpgs from Japan, indicates that an equivalent niche (low overhead, moderate sales, solid profits) should exist for western rpgs, especially on handheld systems.

This could renew the load of the RPG if it was released on today's market. The Bard's Tale was a great game with a huge following. It would be an instant money maker if a new version was to be released on either PC or on one of the Next-Gen consoles.

I remember my dad and I going to Best Buy and him telling me I could get any game I wanted as long as it was under ten bucks. I was stuck between The Bard's Tale and Double Dragon and I tell you, if I had made the other choice my life would've been different. I don't ever expect a BT4, but BT was the best game I ever played. I'm 31 now and I still play it.

I grew up playing these 3 games. I used to watch my brother play Bard's Tale, then once I reached about 10 starting playing Bard's Tale II then III. These were great games, and I miss the style of having a party of 5 or 6 in a RPG.

Bard's Tale IV? Hell yes, bring it on! I played the original on the ZX Spectrum and would be playing it on my PC right now, if I could work out why my gold kept getting reset to zero every time I loaded the game up. Bring out BTIV!

The Bard's Tale was my introduction to RPGs, and I found the character development system, puzzles, mazes, and wonderfully diverse bestiary to be the benchmark for gameplay years later. The sense of ownership elicited in the tale created that magic level of engrossment that so few games afford.Another adventure in the Bard's spirit would give another chance to explore this fascinating world. For whoever may answer this call, please don't skimp on the box art, it was part of the brand. Many Thanks

I grew up with the Commodore 64 and Amiga machines and consider the Bard's Tale trilogy an essential part of my youth. It has been responsible in no small part for my early ventures into gaming, computers in general, and the English language (I myself am Dutch).I would very much enjoy seeing a BT IV, and would gladly purchase and play it.

One of the best series of games ever made. Spent many hours on my commodore playing the trilogy. I would love to see another new bards tale version for current game consoles.
