Bards Tale 3 Magic User Question

Got this request by email and I find that I don't know the answer. Please write in if you can help.

Hello, I was looking at your website for hints on the Bards Tale games. I recently got the Ultimate RPG Archives and playing the Bards Tale games right now. I have some questions which I hope you can answer, I'd sure appreciate your advice.

I'm assuming you all have played most or all of Bards Tale part 3? I'm not sure if I have or have not run into a problem playing this game. The issue surrounds one of my spellcasters I have in my party. In the manual, it says that in order to change mage class to Sorcerer, that you have to know at least 3 spell levels from Conjurer and Magician classes. Well, one of my spellcasters learned 3 and 4 spells respectively from those classes.

When I go to that Review Board in the town, and ask for a class change, it only gives me the 2 options to change to Conjurer or Magician? Do you think this was an error or misprint in the manual or in the game itself? Maybe I missed something such as an installation file? Will the Review Board automatically convert my spellcasters to Archmages if I complete the first quest? Thanks!
